Hastelloy C22 rods were a modification that prevented their brittleness by intercrystalline deposits at temperatures ranging from 600 degrees F to 1400 degrees F in many processes. However, the corrosion resistance of Hastelloy C276 rods is better in deaerated acid. In acidic, alkaline and neutral salt solutions, Hastelloy C22 Square Bars show good resistance, but in oxidizing salt solutions, a strong attack will occur.

Hastelloy C276 Bars are highly ductile across a wide temperature range and can be easily welded and processed by standard shop fabrication practices.

The material composition includes carbon, manganese, silicon, cobalt, phosphorus, iron, nickel, sulfur, tungsten and vanadium. This is one of the most corrosion resistant alloys used. The Alloy C276 Rod has very high strength with 790MPa minimum tensile strength and 355MPa minimum yield strength. The high strength enables the material to be used in structural and high strength applications. The material also has a very high melting point at 1370 degrees Celsius. This high melting point allows it to operate under high temperatures.

the content of high chromium in Hastelloy C22 Rods (Alloy C22) offers first-rate resistance to oxidizing media, whereas the tungsten and molybdenum content offer excellent resistance to reducing media. And Molybdenum is the most important alloying constituent in Hastelloy B2 Bars (Alloy B2) that offers noteworthy corrosion resistance to plummeting atmospheres. Also referred to as UNS N10276, UNS N6022 and UNS N10665, these Round Bars and Rods respectively can further be customized in terms of sizes and thicknesses as per specific requirements given by our esteemed clients.
